"To provide Jackie t. Greatest with an effective tool to take an enjoyable break from statistics homework, to prevent her from buying any additional computers or computer supplies from Dell, and to otherwise entertain her when mu's, delta's, and sigma's aren't up to the job."
Perhaps a bit self-centered on my part, but if you want to be sure the blog is living up to its mission statement, the above will work. :)
I would vote no on the vision statement, unless you are writing on behalf of a radical left-wing organization or recently became a hippie. If either of those are true, make sure that both your vision and mission statements state lofty goals that are somewhat contradictory and use language that appears to be English, yet does not make much sense to native English speakers. For a fine example of the above, Bucknell's Women's Resource Center exemplifies both through their website's mission statement.

JtG, thank you so much for the Mission Statement. Perhaps it will help put this blog onto a more frequent update path.
Now I don't need a "Vision" statement too, do I?
Dick
